Handy Men of America

You know how, if you order something from a particular catalog or magazine, suddenly you get inundated with emails offering great deals on similar stuff? Well, a few weeks ago, when I purchased a stud-finder in Walmart, in order to put up a towel rack, I had no idea that doing so would get me invited to join.... wait for it... Handy Men of America!

I cracked up when I opened the envelope. It seemed so absurd I found myself reading all through it, LOL! As a valued member of Handy Men of America, I would receive regular shipments of different tools to try out and test.

Now, since the closest I get to wielding tools is banging the occasional nail into the wall to hang a picture, I found the idea of this special invitation, based on my purchase of the stud-finder, absolutely crazy.

Having said that, last weekend I purchased an electric drill and I'll be very disappointed if I don't get another invitation in the mail this week!
